Real World Planning is a strategic marketing consultancy run by Helen Weavers. I am an experienced planner and researcher, having spent 14 years in advertising, and have worked independently with a wide variety of brand owners and agencies since 2004.

For some clients I provide cost-effective ‘pay as you go’ planning; for others I’m the cheaper and quicker alternative to getting in a brand consultancy or market research agency.
For some clients I facilitate meetings and workshops, to ensure they are as productive (and enjoyable) as possible. For others I provide training in skills like brand positioning, brief writing and use of research.
I enjoy evaluating communications effectiveness and writing awards entries. I co‑authored the John Lewis paper which won the 2012 IPA Effectiveness Awards Grand Prix and was a judge for the 2010 IPA Effectiveness Awards.
Whatever the situation I believe in providing ‘real world’ thinking: grounded, usable and smart, not abstract, overly intellectual or indulgent.
